Remember Me

Remember Me

John 12:27-30

“Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. 28 Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.” 29 Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to Him.” 30 Jesus answered and said, “This voice did not come because of Me, but for your sake.

There will be times when we may not feel certain if we are doing the will of the Lord. Our feelings will fight against us and war against our faith, back and forth our thoughts are waging war against our will to serve God.  One minute we’re meditating on what the Word of the Lord says and the next minute we’re battling with understanding what does forgiving someone seventy times seven means? When we feel pain and our hearts are hurting.

This is the Word of the Lord speaking to us and letting us know His will for our lives. The scriptures are God’s instructions on how we are to obey and follow Christ. These are His teachings and commandments. The real war is happening within our minds and hearts. The way that we’re thinking and feeling about life is programmed thinking. Our walk with the Lord must produce fruit in our lives. The issues in the heart comes out in our behavior, attitudes and relationships. Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.

As we seek the kingdom of God we will experience all kinds of issues, things will not always feel good because there will be pain and suffering for the righteous. But let us remember that all things are working for our good scripture tells us in Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

We will have offenses at times as we grow in our walk. But we must not allow them to plant the seed of hate, unforgiveness, evil, discord and hold grudges against our brothers and sisters in Christ. That is what will happened if we don’t release the anger and hurt. It doesn’t matter who’s at fault or what happened we must forgive and keep pressing on in Christ. Therefore, as we continue to learn about what Jesus taught His disciples we will grow in our understanding and have the wisdom to apply the same teachings to our lives.

We are ambassadors for Christ. We have all these examples of how to live and walk by faith. There is so much more that the Father wants to show us and do in our lives. But we must learn to cut things off at the roots the things that consistently pull at our hearts to turn us back to our past. This will hinder our walk in Christ. Our feelings play on our minds and an idle mind is the devils playground. It is a dangerous game to play. We must press onward and follow Christ.

There is a war going on 24/7 between God and Satan. Saints we are under attack as well. When we desire to do good evil is always present that is the Word of the Lord. The Lord is revealing these things to us in scripture i.e., Romans 7:21 I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. Paul learned that he desired to do good because that pleased the Lord and yet his mind and body was warring against his will to do good by reminding him of the sin that was still there in his body.

Many of us fail to discern the wisdom in knowing which to choose because we’re not strong enough to see that the little foxes are destroying the vine. When our minds are titillating on the things that we aren’t willing to forget or let go the enemy stirs up our old feelings of our past sins by wearing us out with stress, fear, and the drama to entice us to fall back into bondage. We must know that is not the will of the Father for us because we have been blood bought.

Satan is behind these attacks because he is the author of confusion and wants to thwart us from growing in our faith. Are we praising God and worshipping Him? This is a vital part of our walk and relationship with the Lord. Are we building intimacy? Saints, we must press on and forget those things in the past. Let us remember the works and words of the Lord in how He led us to Him. He carried us through the storms of life, healed us, delivered us, provided food and shelter, removed the scales from our eyes and opened our ears to hear and receive the good news of the gospel.

We are supposed to be feeding our minds and souls with the Word of the Lord. His Word is our sustenance to remain connected to the Vine which is Christ Jesus. He is the Bread of Life, and our hearts should always turn there to be fed, filled and drink from the living water which is the Word.

We must fight the good fight of faith with the sword of the mighty Word of God. Bind and cast down every argument, evil and negative thought that run through our minds daily. That is our work to keep watch of what we allow and entertain in our minds and pull down those strong imaginations against us and speak the Word of the Lord that we are blood washed and bought by the Blood of Jesus. We must open our Bibles and find the scriptures to speak out loud. This binds and loose the enemies hold on us.

When you hear the birds think of Me

Be grateful for every sun rise

I am shining down upon you

Feel My warmth as you breathe

I know that you must believe

No wisdom or knowledge can compare

Only the Creator knows His creations

Earth is performing My glory

I am God who made the universe

I’m everywhere all the time

The oceans and the seas fear Me

The rivers run wild to please Me

I feel what you feel talk to Me

I’m listening and I want a relationship

If only you knew how much I love you
