Servant
Numbers
14:24
But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him
and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and
his descendants shall inherit it.
When we are faced with tough
times, fear will speak to our minds. We must recognize it and push through it
to receive the victory. Whose voice, report, opinion, and counsel will we
listen to? The Lord our God the Almighty. The love that He continues to show us
through His Word is infinite. Therefore, our desires must not trump the will of
the Lord. He has a victorious plan, and this plan is conclusive to not harm us,
but to give us a hope and future. Therefore, there is nothing or no one who can
thwart God’s will, plan, and outcome for our lives.
Many of us have experienced so
many obstacles in our lives. It has been very difficult because we did not have
the wisdom or understanding in how we were going to get through it. The more
that we pondered and contemplated about the matter the more our emotions became
a part of the situation by speaking fear, lies, failure, defeat, and
hopelessness to our minds. We are in a spiritual war, and these weapons are
formed to either attack us or are a part of developing our faith and helping us
to grow in the Word of the Lord. We will not grow in adversity if we do not
know the Word of the Lord or have the knowledge and experience to execute the
wisdom to not be overtaken by life.
As human beings we are finite in our strength, capabilities,
knowledge, wisdom and understanding. That is why we must first pray to God
about everything. We must ask for His hand, and favor, and help to see us
through the matter. We must be transparent and lay it all out and cry if we
need to.
There is absolutely nothing too hard for God. We must open
our eyes and look around and count our blessings daily. If we can talk, walk,
run, eat, move our bodies, think, pray, dream, love and smile we’re doing
wonderful. Sometimes, we need to sit in the sun light to feel the warmth of
God’s love radiating upon us. He created the sun for His purpose and yet it is
a huge blessing to all. Our moods tend to change when the weather is sunny and
feels beautiful. You see the things that get our attention affect our minds and
hearts. What are we focusing on that has stolen our joy and peace?
There is always going to be something that’s trying to move
us like the waves in the sea. But our hearts and minds must be fixed on Jesus.
Our thanksgiving, praises and prayers must not cease because He has given us
the truth to follow Him. One of the biggest mountains to climb is facing fear
straight on and learning how to fortify ourselves during the race. Because
there is an opponent who is our adversary Satan and he’s not relenting until he
wins our souls. Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than
conquerors through Him who loved us. We belong to Christ and our weapons
are not carnal but mighty through God for pulling down strongholds and every
obstacle that comes into our lives.
Remember, Jesus said, “come to
Me?” Matthew 11:28-30 Come to Me, all you who labor
and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon
you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in
heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My
yoke is easy and My burden is light.” All these benefits and mercies
are available to us daily. If we believe and have faith in Him. No matter what
comes against us, He must approve it first before it touches our lives.
We must turn to the Word of the
Lord to understand how we should live and remain in His will. Joshua 1:8-9
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall
meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that
is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will
have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good
courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your
God is with you wherever you go.”
Our minds must be transformed by
the Word of the Lord when we cannot see the next step. This is the narrow path
that we must follow to remain in His will. A lot of things that come into our
lives are because we’re not sober minded about the truth. The enemy is working
to destroy us non-stop. Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear The name of
the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun;
When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of
the Lord will lift up a standard against him.
When we learn to guard our minds
and pay attention to the thoughts that we think we will be engaged in the battle
that’s going on within us. The devil works on us through how we think, lust,
sin, and rebel against the Word. He’ll throw our trauma, past, fear, painful
memories, plant negative thoughts and remind us about the hurt we’ve
experienced and use it to stir up confusion in our minds. Sometimes, before we
know it, we’re caught up in the drama, mess and dealing with spiritual attacks
because that’s what the devil loves and sends to us.
As servants of the most high God
we must learn that we are mighty warriors. We have been called to go through
these battles as preparation to teach us that there are two kingdoms at war
right now happening in the spirit realm. The kingdom of God is where God reigns
on the Throne. We are His chosen ones that He called to serve while we seek
first the kingdom of God. We are overcomers and have been summoned to serve and
spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The kingdom of darkness is where
Satan rules a legion of demons and fallen angels. He is our adversary and accuser
of the brethren. He creates the chaos in our lives majority of the time to wear
us out so that we would give up our faith and quit serving Christ. He feeds off
our pain, pride, egos, trauma, etc. His plan is to steal, kill and to destroy
our souls. That’s why we must be vigilant and sobber minded. Revelation
12:10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation,
and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have
come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day
and night, has been cast down.
Our faith in Christ puts us in
Christ. He is the mighty one who saves, shields, and guides us to safety. Our
steps have been ordered by the Lord as we cry out to Jesus for help. His love,
grace, blessings, forgiveness of sins are given to us as we learn to trust,
love, and worship Him.
As we march with the foot men
into battle, we must remember to humble ourselves and bow down before the King
who sits on the right of the Throne. We must pray to the Father and obey His
will as we serve. The Holy Spirit is our helper, teacher, comforter, and guide
to keep us until the day of redemption. As we pray, worship and live, we must
lay hold that Jesus is King. Isaiah 52:13-15 Behold, My Servant
shall deal prudently; He shall be exalted and extolled and be very
high. 14 Just as many were astonished at you, So His visage was
marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men; 15 So
shall He sprinkle many nations. Kings shall shut their mouths at Him; For what
had not been told them they shall see, And what they had not heard they shall
consider.
