Spiritual Warfare

Revelation 12:13-17

 

13 Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. 14 But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. 15 So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. 16 But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

 

Saints, we have been warned about the powers of darkness, principalities, spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. The Word of the Lord is revealing to us what’s going on in the spirit realm and the works of Satan. He is the evil spirit that has a legion of demons serving him to carry out his wicked plan in the earth. This war is against the people who serve and follow Christ. Satan’s mission is to steal, kill and destroy the children of God. This will not end until his time is over. Revelations 20:10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

We must be vigilant and watchful for the enemy is always working against us. Our discernment must be sharpened to be able to know what is happening around us. The enemy is watching us closely, so we better believe that and stop being foolish in downplaying his tactics. We need to fine tooth comb the scriptures especially about our adversary Satan. So that we will know who it is that is against us and who we’re fighting. Revelation 12:9-10 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 

Satan is angry and jealous of the people of God. The thing that he realizes the most is that he was once adored in heaven among the glory of the Lord and had everything that God bestowed upon him with beauty, light and musical pipes, and he lost it all. God found sin in him because of his pride. He can never be forgiven or restored back to God because he went against Him. Now he’s here in the earth roaming and unleashing his wrath and anger out on the chosen ones. Ezekiel 28:13-15 You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created. 14 “You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. 15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.

Believe it we are in a war and a fight for our lives. Satan wants to destroy God’s elect. He is very crafty and cunning and knows more than we think we know about life. He studies us and knows what we like, dislike, things that have happened to us, our trauma, pain, relationships, fears, etc. He doesn’t know everything but just enough to devise a plan to entice us so that he can destroy us. He is an evil spirit and still have the power to manipulate, control and capture us through sin, it’s devices and through the people he sends to us.

Sometimes, we become involved with people we know or meet through others we know or people through some of the things we are a part of in life e.g., business, work, dating, parties, events, church, and school. Things seem pleasant at first until the other shoe drops or when we sense that something isn’t adding up or doesn’t feel right to us. But what usually happens is that we ignore the signs and look at the physical things that their showing us. Those signs are the Holy Spirit speaking to us warning us to stop, slow down, and listen. But we brush it off thinking to ourselves we’re just being paranoid and it’s all in our head.

Every time we become entangled in a bad situation our peace is gone. That’s a big red flag that the enemy has gotten a foot hold into our mind and lives. He is stealing our peace because that puts us into a state of confusion and vulnerability. We must watch for the other arrows he’s throwing at us to kill and destroy us. The adversary doesn’t care which trap works along as one does the trick and succeeds.

Satan loves to get his grip on us through the things we haven’t been delivered. Many people are holding on to unforgiveness, rejection, trauma, smoke drugs, drink alcohol and maybe popping pills or a secret addiction or battling other things. These vices attract different people to us that are in most cases no good for us. There is more going on with them than what we can see at the surface before we get into bed with snakes, shaking hands with the devil, and marrying a demon. These vices are open doors to cause evil spirits to attack us.

We must pray for discernment so that we will know not to get involved with these wicked spirits that are trying to build strong holds in our lives. We must inspect the fruit to be sure that we are not being taken advantage of and not be quick to take people’s word to believe them before we know enough information about them to let our guards down.

Our homes and marriages are under attack. We must be careful to not let the devil in via tv., social media, deceptive people and friends that are low key envious or jealous, allowing people that we admire to influence us into following and desiring their lives who we don’t know and who don’t love God. We must be watchful and be discerning of the spirits that’s behind majority of these trends and concepts we buy into.

The essence of Satan is to bring chaos into our lives to destroy us. So that we will not side with God and fight against him. There is an army of legions coming after the righteous and we must prepare and get into position by learning the Word of the Lord and using it as our sword and defense against Satan and the powers of darkness. We must put the Word on him by speaking out loud “the blood of Jesus against him.” Speak the Word of God out loud and do not be afraid of any devil.  

           

Spiritual Warfare

 

There’s war in the spirit realm that you cannot see

Evil is at war to destroy your soul

It’s all around you everyday

God has His angels on post to protect you

His Word is a weapon that speaks to the spirit

If you learn to use it, you will see

 Evil is not afraid to challenge the good that exist

God is after your soul to save you

You must not wait till it’s too late to surrender

 The righteous shall live by faith

You cannot see what’s in the spirit

You must believe there is a God

 He’s the mightiest King of kings

There’s nothing that God can’t see

You need God’s power and word to win
