Reaping
Genesis
26:1-5
1 There was a famine in the land,
besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went
to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar. 2 Then
the Lord appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt;
live in the land of which I shall tell you. 3 Dwell in this
land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your
descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which
I swore to Abraham your father. 4 And I will make your descendants
multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these
lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be
blessed; 5 because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My
commandments, My statutes, and My laws.”
As children of God, we are
accounted as righteous when we believe by faith that Jesus is the Son of God.
We follow Him and live our lives according to the scriptures. Those of us who
are not born a Jew are Gentile. Our faith in Jesus puts us in Christ because He
is the seed of promise that God made with Abraham. Galatians 3:8-9 And the
Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached
the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations
shall be blessed.” 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed
with believing Abraham. Galatians 3:26-29 26 For you are all
sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you
as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is
neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither
male nor female; for you are all one in Christ
Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are
Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Our lives are now in Christ;
therefore, we must follow His teachings and seek the kingdom of God and all His
righteousness will be added to us. When we put the Lord first in our lives, He
will reveal many things to us to show us how much we mean to Him. Our basic
needs are met and for our faith, we are rewarded when we diligently seek Him.
We should have this mind every
day desiring to know Jesus for ourselves. He is the One who died for our sins
and made the provision to save and forgive us. No matter how long it takes to
find Him we must stay the course. Throughout the scriptures He blessed many
because of their faith.
Whatever we may think about
ourselves or our lives it’s not the same way that God see’s us or feels. He
sees the end of a thing before it is created and manifested. Remember in
scripture Isaiah 55:8-9 “For My thoughts are not your
thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways
higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Jesus is the Lord of the
harvest. He gives seed to the sower and multiplies their seed according to righteousness.
Saints, we are His harvest, and our souls are blessed because of the atonement
for our sins. We must get our faith up and activate pursuing the kingdom of
God. There is an abundance of blessings, mercies, favor, peace, joy,
righteousness, and grace that Christ has predestined for the souls that are
His.
We have been given these divine
provisions and spiritual blessings to taste and see that the Lord is good. When
we glorify the Lord’s name and give Him praise and honor and follow His
commands, we are humbling our minds and hearts before the Lord. This puts us on
His mind when we exalt His name. Everyone has a special praise and cry that
only the Lord knows and understands.
The power of the Holy Spirit is
bringing to us the revelations of the Father’s will for our lives. We must
submit our will and yield ourselves to let Him plant the seeds into us. Our
hearts need to be empty of pride, malice, anger, gossip, meanness, and
ugliness. Whatever we are not confessing to the Lord we need to be real with
God and get on our knees and let it out so that we can be poured into as He
desires to bless each of us.
The seeds that we receive from
the Holy Spirit will birth many miracles and blessings in our lives. This
doesn’t just bless us, but our children, generations, and our bloodlines. It is
through our obedience that the Lord remembers to increase, bless, and prosper
our families. These seeds are created to bloom the fruit for which God made it.
Our purpose, legacies, ministries, deliverance, gifts, destinies, new ideas,
creativity, spiritual callings, clarity, and solutions to unanswered mysteries,
all begin with a word from the Lord.
The Lord is so vast in all His
ways. We must stop trying to figure everything out by blocking the process of
His will and work in our lives. The scripture tells us Matthew 19:26 But
Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is
impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Many of us are
presently giving birth to the seeds that we’ve been carrying. The unexplained
trials, trauma’s, persecutions, spiritual attacks back-to-back, can’t seem to
get a break, there’s always something going on that’s robbing us of our peace.
These light afflictions are nothing compared to the glory that the Lord is
going to reveal in our lives.
We must run to our prayer
closets and sit and wait on the Lord to speak a word to us. He’s there in the
secret place within us waiting for us to be still. We must be intentional and
sacrifice our time for the Lord in secret. He speaks to those who are thirsty
and whose hearts are open, pouring out praises, tears of wanting to know Him,
surrendering everything to Him all the pain, hurt and unconfessed sins.
We are being prepared for the
Lord of the harvest. Jesus is coming back for the saints who are asleep in
Christ first and for the living in Christ for we are the righteous that believe
in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we must be vigilant and pray to the
Father for His will to be done in our lives. Now let us hold on to this hope that
we have in Christ Jesus and continue to remember Genesis 8:22 “While the
earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer,
And day and night Shall not cease.” It only takes one seed to reap a
harvest worth more than millions.
An
Abundance of Blessings
Hold on it will come to fruition
Every good deed will prosper
Delay does not mean denied
As you press your way forward
Your prayers are being manifested
The universe is forming your breakthroughs
You must believe with all your heart
Sometimes the wait seems impossible
In due season you will understand
Your life will bloom forth the harvest
As you draw closer to the abundance
Count every delay a blessing
Sometimes God is testing your faith
When the time comes you will be ready
The righteous will not be forsaken
Sometimes the suffering prepares the way
As you embrace your inheritance
The sun will shine bright upon your face
