He Made
Us Righteous
2
Corinthians 5:17-21
Therefore,
if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old
things have passed away; behold, all things have
become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has
reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of
reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling
the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has
committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then, we are ambassadors
for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on
Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who
knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the
righteousness of God in Him.
The enemy will fight against us for the Word of God
that’s planted within us. There is no way that he is going to give up until we
are no longer in these bodies. God’s love is perfect, and we have been made
right in Christ to receive the abundant life. The grace that’s overflowing upon
our lives is infinite. We have been forgiven for our sins. Hallelujah! Thanks
be unto God and for His Son, Jesus Christ. This settles it because Christ
disarmed the powers of darkness. Colossians 2:14-15 having wiped
out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to
us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the
cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a
public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
Saints, we are God’s beloved and are set free from
the chains bound by sin. Our souls have been redeemed from the curse of the
law. We are in Christ, therefore, there is no condemnation to those who walk
according to the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is dwelling within us to teach us how
to live and walk in the Spirit so that our lives will bear the fruit of the
Spirit. We are soldiers in the army of the Lord. Now we can run for Jesus and
pick up our cross and follow our Savior.
There is no more looking back at the things we’ve
done before coming to Christ. Every sin past, present and future has been
nailed to the cross when Jesus was crucified. We are no longer bound by the
guilt and shame. Even though our conscious may remind us of the ugly things
that we’ve done or have happened to us. We must bind those thoughts and speak
the blood of Jesus against our flesh because it’s the adversary playing with
our minds. This is a part of the fight that we must engage in to keep our minds
free from the evil that Satan is trying to plant in our minds. As long as we’re
in these bodies, we will always have to keep watch over our minds.
When we confess Christ as our Lord and have repented,
the devil is going to always throw darts and put stumbling blocks in our path.
He works on our thoughts to infiltrate evil against the Word of the Lord that
we’re learning as we renew our minds. But it is our responsibility to discern
our thoughts when it happens, so we can cast them down. We must be diligent and
sober minded and keep watch over what we think and be careful about the words
we speak. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 For the weapons of our
warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling
down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that
exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into
captivity to the obedience of Christ, Psalm 141:3 Set a guard,
O Lord, over my mouth;
Keep watch over the door of my lips.
The Holy Spirit is our helper. He will always be with
us because we are sealed to Him until the day of redemption. Ephesians 1:13-14
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of
truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you
were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is
the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the
purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. We must learn to pray to
the Holy Spirit to help us fight back against the attacks and battles that
Satan sends to us. We know that he is alive because we use to party, lie,
steal, fornicate, drink, and do all kinds of sinful things and he was the one
tempting and enticing us to act a fool and do those things in our flesh. Ephesians
2:1-3 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and
sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this
world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now
works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once
conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of
the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as
the others.
Our souls have been bought with a price and the devil
wants to destroy our bodies through sin. The Lord wants us to study and pray
for understanding about His Word. James 2:26 For as the body without the
spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. We must learn how to fight
the devil with the Word. Because it is the only weapon that he recognizes that
has the power to overcome his evil. Why is he concern about our faith in Jesus?
Because he doesn’t want us to inherit eternal life where we will spend eternity
living with Jesus in the New Jerusalem. He will no longer be able to cause us
any more pain, suffering, or injustice. We will be loved eternally while
worshipping and praising our Savior the Lord almighty for He is God of the
living and the Word.
God created Lucifer who He bestowed with
glory, beauty, ornaments of precious stones, the gift of music to worship Him.
However, the Word tells us this about his fall from grace. Ezekiel 28:12-13
“You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in
beauty. 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious
stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl,
onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship
of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were
created. Revelation 12:7-9 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and
his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels
fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found
for them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was
cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who
deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were
cast out with him.
We must hear what the scriptures are
saying to us. Matthew 11:15 He who has ears to hear, let him hear! Revelation
12:10-11 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now
salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His
Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before
our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame
him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they
did not love their lives to the death. There is no way that we can
overcome Satan, but by the blood of Jesus. We are blood bought and blood washed
because Jesus gave up His life to pay the penalty for our sin debt. We are the
redeem the saints of God. We are united in Christ and must learn to encourage,
love and pray for one another.
The time is now for us to pick up the
Word of the Lord and use it to declare the victories, protection, prayers, help
and wisdom that we need. God’s Word is spiritual it’s living and powerful. When
we believe and speak the Word the power of God moves to execute what the Word
was created to perform. As we grow in our walk in the Spirit we will obey and
submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit. We are not doing anything in our own
strength or power. It is the Lord’s Word and power that He trains us in the
Word because we are in Christ. We must be taught how to drink milk when we’re
babes until we mature to chew solid food. 1 John 2:27 But
the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you
do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you
concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught
you, you will abide in Him.
The righteous must learn that it is God
doing the work in our lives. He blessed us by sending His Son, Jesus to rescue
us from His wrath for the penalty of our sins. We must never be ashamed of the
good news of the gospel, because it is the power of God that saves us. We are
children of God mark by the blood of the Lamb of God. Our hearts should be glad
and filled with praise to worship God. He is holy and we are not and yet He loved
us enough to die for our sins. Our love must be pure, and our hearts soften to
hunger and thirst for His righteousness. Every man is running his own race and
will be awarded for his faith.
We must seek the kingdom of God every day
by renewing our minds with the Word of the Lord. This is a mandate that every
believer must learn the fundamentals of being a soldier fit for battle. Our
minds and hearts will be changed through the born-again experience which is the
work of the Holy Spirit in a believer’s life. As we surrender our will to God
we are being transformed into the new man in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore,
if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old
things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. The Word
tells us how we should live according to God’s standard of right living. There
are scriptures that tell us how to live in the light versus living in the
darkness. Our lives will bear good fruit when we walk with God. The works of
the flesh will bear bad fruit.
Let us walk circumspectly and show
kindness and be tender hearted toward our brothers and sisters in Christ. Our
fruit will be seen as we put on the robe of righteousness. There is a
difference when we live right. Because Christ will let us shine like a light. Daniel
12:1-3 At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who
stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time
of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time.
And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is
found written in the book. 2 And many of those who sleep in the dust
of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to
shame and everlasting contempt. 3 Those who are wise
shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many
to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever. Revelation 22:12-13 “And
behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to
give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the
Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
