God is Love

God is Love

Ephesians 2:4-8

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

Everything that has life was created by God. His breath flows life into every word that He has spoken. His breath and words are life and without it nothing would be alive. We have His breath in us, and our lives are being held together because of His love for us. He sees and knows more than we could ever fathom nor comprehend. Our Father in heaven is loving and He demonstrated it, by sending His beloved Son, Jesus to die for our sins. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 1 John 4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Our Father is on the throne watching over His children as we pray and cry out to Him. We must learn His righteousness and laws that are written in His Word. Let us seek Him with all our hearts while He may be found. We exist because He created us for a purpose, and we must first seek the kingdom of God to find it. Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” As we understand the truth, we must continue to seek Him. We are made in His image and likeness which has great meaning. We are connected to God and made to radiate in likeness i.e., light and love as well as His other unique qualities because of our spiritual DNA. 1 John 4:8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.  We must meditate on the Word of the Lord to learn how to walk as Jesus, and study His life and live as He did, and pray to know Him because He is our Creator. Genesis 1:1-3 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. John 1:1-4 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

When we pray to God with thanksgiving and praise, He hears and sees us. We are indeed loved by God because He has a work for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. There is room for every nation to repent and turn to the one true God. John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.  Isaiah 42:5 Thus says God the Lord, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk on it: His works are mighty, and His love is everlasting and who can know the counsel of His will? No mortal flesh can stand and know these glorious things but the Spirit of God.

We have a beautiful grace given by God to save us from eternal damnation. God’s love is always working for us to bring us together as His family through His Son, Jesus. No one can ever understand the depth of this love that God has for His people who love Him. There are divine provisions that have been put into time, so that we will humble ourselves and acknowledge that God is still speaking to us through His Word and Spirit. Colossians 1:26-27 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Galatians 3:26-29 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Therefore, we must submit to the Father’s will and learn of His glorious ways. Colossians 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, The blood of Jesus is the life that redeemed us when we were lost in darkness. Our minds are full of darkness because of iniquity before we learned to speak. Romans 5:18-19 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

God sent His Son, Jesus to reconcile us to Him. This plan was hidden in eternity and through the mercies of God’s love we are discovering His Omnipotence and Omnibenevolence toward mankind. We must learn humility and rest in His presence. We have the favor and goodness of God dwelling in us when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior. Our lives are being transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit regenerative process of making us new creations in Christ. John 3:5-8 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

We must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit for His utterance. We are like jars of clay being filled with the Spirit to do good works in the lives of others. God’s love is always flowing in and through us as we pray to please Him. Saints, we must live in the light which is the Word of God. This frees us from the works of darkness that once held us bound by the powers of darkness. Our hearts and minds must pursue peace and hunger for God’s righteousness. God has set order and righteous standards that we must live by.

Living for Christ teaches us how to love, forgive and serve. We are following the footsteps of our Lord and Savior. We have a great purpose in God, and He loves us. Therefore, we must pray for wisdom, knowledge and understanding of His Word. The Holy Spirit will help us to rightly divide the Word of truth. This is love from above drawing us to Him. John 6:44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. 1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

God’s love will leave us speechless, if He were to recount to us the times when He gave us grace and mercy for every offense, transgression, and trespass. We are all guilty of sin and unworthy of this kind of eternal love. We’ve been rescued from the pit of hell. The power of the blood of Jesus made us alive in Christ. Let us bow our hearts and say thank you to God for His glory exudes the light of the world.

Butterfly Angels

While I live to see God's love

May He richly bless my soul

In the valley of the lilies, I will pray

When signs and wonders come

Butterflies gather to dance

While feeling the warmth of the sun

As my heart flutters to and fro

It's truly amazing to feel such splendor

Upon the path to eternity

When love is present, I will breathe

As the flowers bloom forth

My soul shall sing

How gracious and sweet

To every blessing that appears

Rays of living colors

Etched from wing to wing

Touching every soul that lives

While imparting God's love
