Jesus is
Lord
Hebrews
1:1-4
God, who at various times
and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the
prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son,
whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made
the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory
and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the
word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat
down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so
much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more
excellent name than they.
Every soul is given free will to choose
who they will serve. Joshua 24:14-15 “Now therefore, fear the Lord,
serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your
fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve
the Lord! 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose
for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your
fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the
gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house,
we will serve the Lord.” The people whose hearts are open to hearing about
the gospel are ready to make a choice with who they will serve and worship. But
for many it’s not that simple, nor easy for them to hear the gospel, nor are
they ready to decide who to serve as their deity. Oftentimes, we tend to
compare something with something else, before picking the thing that we want or
that’s best for us and, in most cases, we usually do not pick well.
However, in that moment of deciding to serve Christ as Lord we will find a new life. But if we put the decision off there might not be another time and chance to find Him. Isaiah 55:6-7 Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. We cannot see who God is in this physical world with our natural sight. And yet having this mindset causes many to not believe in God. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” Yet there is a final place for everyone after this life and for many they are not even concern where their destination will be. John 3:18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
The
gospel is the good news about Jesus and the gift of salvation. Many people are
closed off from hearing the message of salvation or are completely closed
minded about Christ. No matter what their reason maybe they are bound by the
powers of darkness. No one who is bound in the dark can see the truth because
their hearts, minds and eyes are blinded. Sin is our master if we have not
accepted Christ. Romans 6:16 Do you not know that to whom you
present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey,
whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to
righteousness? John 8:34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I
say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.
Christ is the anointed one and He brings truth by revealing the light to men. Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. So many people’s minds and hearts are blinded by their lust, pride, and egos. They have the spirit of the prince of the air operating in them. They are busy storing up material things and making up lies about who they think Jesus is and deny that Satan is not their master. John 8:43-45 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. As we know a person who cannot see themselves in the mirror are blind, and spiritually crippled, and full of darkness. James 1:22-24 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
The Word of the
Lord is the light and lamp that reveals to us that we are sinners and were
living in the darkness under our sin master before the law. Many people
disregard hearing this message because they are governed by their temporary
pseudo power that pride creates in our hearts. They are dead to the warnings
and messages of the cross and cannot discern spiritual things. There are
millions who are living like this because a man cannot find righteousness on
his own. Romans 3:10 As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not
one; Isaiah 64:6 But we are all like an unclean thing, And
all our righteousness’s are like filthy rags; We
all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.
Ephesians 2:1-3 And you He made alive, who were
dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to
the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the
air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among
whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh,
fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature
children of wrath, just as the others. But by the power of the gospel of Jesus
Christ we are now living in the light and are the children of God. John 8:47
He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are
not of God.”
The Lord is sitting on the right of
the throne in heaven watching everything. We too can see and hear the truth
being revealed from the living Word. He is judge and sovereign and fair in all
His ways. We must humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God and repent and
turn to Jesus. We are all guilty of sin and cannot hide anything from Him.
There is room at the cross the time is now to repent and come humbly and bow
our hearts and minds before the King. He is worthy of all the worship, praise,
thanksgiving, honor, and glory. This is the moment that will change our hearts
to run for Christ when we believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ. He loves us
and have given us an everlasting gift of eternal life when we accept Him.
We
do not need a second opinion this is a right now moment for millions to receive
eternal life in glory. Let this be your invitation today, because Jesus is
calling us to a new life in Him. The scriptures are filled with the hope and
the riches of His glory and grace. Hebrews 9:27-28 And as it is
appointed for men to die once, but after this the
judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the
sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a
second time, apart from sin, for salvation. When we hear the Word being
preached, read aloud, in passing during our day we may see a scripture written
on something that is the Lord speaking to us. The time is now and the hand on
the clock is moving closer to the doors being shut.
Many
are still not moved by hearing the gospel. But the Lord already knows who will
accept Him. So, He chastens us because He loves us. We often wonder why are we
going through so much pain, suffering, setbacks, storms, sickness, attacks,
etc. Some problems seem like they’re never going to go away and so we toss and
toiled as we cry and say, “Lord why me?” But as we move along in life and the
seasons change, we are becoming a new creation in Christ. We are no longer
dealing with every struggle, pain, issue, and the burdens we’ve carried for so
long have passed. That was God speaking to us through our pain and making us
vessels of honor. 2 Timothy 2:20-21 But in a great house there are not
only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor
and some for dishonor. 21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from
the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the
Master, prepared for every good work.
We
cannot fully understand the ways and methods of God and how He chooses to use
the things that He does to teach, solve, and test us. Remember that He knows
the end of a thing before He creates it. Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end
from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are
not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all
My pleasure,’ Isaiah 55:8-9 “For My thoughts are not your
thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways
higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
The Lord is
weaving and working His Word into our lives. We tend to learn much through the
things that we suffer. When the fires are turned up, we know to run to safety. Proverbs
18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The
righteous run to it and are safe. Romans 10:13-14 For “whoever
calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” 14 How then
shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they
believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they
hear without a preacher? Our testimonies will compel others to listen to
how Jesus saved, delivered, healed, and blessed us. He is a personal God who
wants to be involved in our lives in every way and wants us to love and obey
Him. John 10:9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved,
and will go in and out and find pasture. Revelations 3:20 Behold, I
stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the
door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
There is mercy and
grace right now, but we must ask, seek, and knock. Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask,
and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be
opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who
seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Please do not let
God’s goodness pass you by, because it will not follow you into eternal
damnation if you do not accept Jesus as Lord. John 14:6 Jesus said to
him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one
comes to the Father except through Me. 1 John 4:12-16 No one has
seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love
has been perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and
He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have
seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of
the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God
abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the
love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in
God, and God in him.
