A Messenger of Hope

A Message of Hope

1 Thessalonians 1:6-10

6 And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit, 7 so that you became examples to all in Macedonia and Achaia who believe. 8 For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything. 9 For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

No matter what is going on in our lives the Lord is still present in our time of need and help. Many of us may have some difficult life issues that may be hard to understand or accept. Then there maybe other’s going through a storm in their lives or feel extremely hopeless because of the state of the world due to COVID-19 pandemic.

There are so many questions that may arise from day to day, e.g., when will this storm end? I’m here to remind you what the Bible says in this world we will have tribulations but take heart in knowing that Jesus spoke these words “that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

There are innumerable reasons to give God our hope and praise in the midst of it all. Whatever we are going through in our lives, He already knows and has the answer. He’s watching over His Word and our faith. We each have been given a measure of faith. The Lord blesses us according to our faith. We must put into action our faith for what it is that we hope for, desire, and need. If it’s joy, then ask the Lord for it. The Holy Spirit is waiting to pour joy into our vessels and spirits, but we must first ask.

Oftentimes, we are so focused on these earthly distractions and fleshly whims that keep our minds pulled toward this physical world. When we read about the good news of the gospel there is another part to this good news. The Lord has a plan for us to be gathered the dead in Christ first and then the living saints to Christ.

Our faith knows it because God gave each of us a key to gain entrance into His kingdom through our faith in Christ Jesus. Sometimes we cannot see at first what we hope for because we must plant the seed with making the first steps of action. The Bible says faith without works is dead. There is a part that we are to partake in having faith and hope. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Jesus did His part by dying on the cross He was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities. This was not easy for Him but nonetheless He did it for you and me. So, we must press forward in believing in this hope of glory to come. No one has ever died for an entire world of people on behalf of their sins. Yes, Jesus did it. Therefore, we must get unstuck with these earthly entanglements that come to distract us from our hope and faith for our future in glory with Christ Jesus.

There is power in our faith when we use it. We have moved further along the journey by not allowing these afflictions in our bodies, our suffering and fear to paralyze us. We cannot allow fear to govern our lives. The Word of the Lord is alive, I speak life right now to our situations the Lord will turn our suffering into rejoicing.

We must wake up and ask God to light a fire of hope into our lives. There is still much to be done. As we grow from being babes in the Word of God to maturing into seasoned saints, stand firm on the Lord’s Word. He is able to catapult us into receiving more of what we’re hoping for according to His Father’s will.

Every day we must eat, ponder, and read the scriptures to keep the Word fresh in our minds. That is where the issues of life take camp in our minds by flooding us with worries, greed, painful memories, images of things that pushes our minds further away from the finished work of the cross. People are leaving here, and we must fight and hold on to Jesus.

Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus. We must bind those negative thoughts by casting them down, and all the images that try to plant evil and torment into our minds with the Word of the Lord. We are not fighting these battles alone; the Lord is with us.  Pray to the Holy Spirit and ask Him for wisdom, help and understanding. He is there inside us the believer keeping us until the day of redemption. We have a friend that will be with us into eternity.

This is not the end for us, we must not lose our hope in our spiritual inheritance. Hope is not what is seen but it is what we wait for patiently to come to pass. Now let us get up and keep inspiring others through our faith in Jesus for He is Lord.  Do not give up allow your faith to win! Romans 8:24:25   For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees?  25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

Who Shall Abide

As your spirit lives

There is purpose for your life

Inside your soul lives another world

You must start preparing

As your body ages

Your spirit will grow

On the path to eternity there are mysteries

If you trust in God’s plan

Your carnal mind will change

As you become aware of salvation

Start running the race

Be mindful when you are called

Keep praying to follow God’s Spirit

Don’t try to figure everything out

When its time to end the journey

You don’t have to wonder if you believed

As a reward for your faith

Your soul will reap eternal life
