God is One

God is One

Deuteronomy 6:4-5

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

Lord, You have established in Your Word that there is only one God and that is You. Your Word is eternal and everlasting. Your works are mighty and infinite in the heavens and the earth. Your law was written to teach everyone how to obey and to learn from You. Our ancestors of the faith have fallen asleep awaiting the day of Your coming. The children of Israel were given the law and Your commands. Please help us to obey and follow You.

Today, we have the Good News of the gospel that was given by You to the apostles to preach the Word of the Lord to every man who have ears to hear. The Jews and Gentiles both heard the good news that salvation is through Your Son, Jesus. Acts 4:12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” We are all united in Christ by faith.

The love that You have for all men was proven through Your Son, Jesus. You sent Him here to the world to save us from eternal damnation for our sins. John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. We believe and follow the Messiah. His light revealed to us our sins because we gentiles were living in darkness committing every immoral and vile thing against You, God.

We worshipped false gods to appease them through our ignorance and lust. Our minds were blind, and our understanding was perverted because sin was our master. No one among us was calling out the things that we were doing was leading us straight to hell. We believed the gods that we made by our hands gave us power and we practiced doing the evil things that we learned from our ancestors. This was our wickedness being passed down to us from generation to generation. We did not understand that we were doing the works of our father Satan and were the children of wrath.

But when we heard about the cross, forgiveness of sins, eternal life, Jesus saves; our hearts soften as we listened. There was a light that appeared within our darken minds that shone a light of hope to allow us to believe in Jesus. Colossians 1:25-28 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God, 26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

The Word of the Lord is the light and lamp that we must follow to Christ. The truth is no longer hidden from the gentiles. We are all loved by God and stand at the cross as sinners with equal footing as we come to Jesus. Ephesians 3:1-6 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles— 2 if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, 3 how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, 4 by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), 5 which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: 6 that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel,

Our hearts must rejoice in knowing the holy scriptures that are given by inspiration from God to all men who believe by faith in Jesus, the Messiah, Anointed One, Lamb of God, Lord, and Savior. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Revelation 1:5-6 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

According to the Word of the Lord when we accept Christ the Holy Spirit comes to live inside each believer. John 15:26-27 “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. 27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning. Our lives are being transformed by the renewing of our minds through the Word. The Holy Spirit is living inside us and has sealed us to Him until the day of redemption. He’s teaching us through the Word how we should walk in the Spirit and live for Christ. We must love Him and give Him our praises and thanks because He is the Spirit of truth sent by our Father, God.

The Holy Spirit is giving us the wisdom, knowledge and understanding of the Word and revealing the Father’s will for our lives. We cannot do this on our own nor see the powers of darkness that wants to kill, steal, and destroy our souls. There is an adversary Satan who wants to do harm to us so that we would not live for God. The Holy Spirit is our strength, protector, eyes, and ears to help us discern the things that are lurking to entice, attack, temp us that are of the darkness of this age, powers, principalities, wicked spiritual hosts in heavenly places. We cannot possibly know how to walk in the Spirit alone and win the victory over sin. The Holy Spirit helps us to do the work that God the Father predestined us to do. He gives us the power to triumph over the finish line to receive eternal life. Therefore, we thank God for His Spirit living within us.

Many people are not growing or maturing as they should or don’t know if they have received the Holy Spirit. If this is the case, we must ask and pray to the Father to awaken our inner man so that we will receive the Holy Spirit. Have we been baptized since we believed? We must build a prayer life daily with the Lord. Open the Word and mediate on the scriptures and surrender our will and submit our hearts and lives to God. Acts 19:1-6 And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples 2 he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? So they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.” 3 And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?”

So they said, “Into John’s baptism.” 4 Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.” 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. John 3:5-7 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’

God is one. God is three persons in the Godhead, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are in unity, co-eternal, co-equal, one in nature, essence and attributes. They have individual work and are one God. God is revealing Himself through His will, Word, and divine plan. We are a part of this divine plan as God reveal Himself to us through His Spirit, and Word. We must accept and believe the scriptures by faith and allow God to reign in all His glory and majesty.

1 John 5:6-8 This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one. Matthew 3:16-17 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Jesus is Lord

The heavens were moving beyond the clouds

There I was frighten and lost

Trust in Me was calling my name

A light from above filled me

As I quivered my breath escaped

Your majesty here I am

Time belongs to You for Your glory

Great and mighty things are written in Your Word

Spiritual hosts, eternity and the heavenlies listen

 Everlasting to everlasting You reign

Christ was risen to save a wretch like me

Speak Lord speak as I proclaim Your Word
