Unspeakable Blessings

Unspeakable Blessings

1 Peter 1:6-9

6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8 whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

Many have been called by God to live a life of honor and revere Him. This call is not by phone because it is a spiritual call from God. The ringing is internal inside our souls, thus causing us to wake up, feel restless, or maybe for some there’s an urgency of feeling like there is something we’re supposed to do. As we ponder in these moments, we are starting to yield to the call because this is the Spirit of God trying to get our attention. This is God’s invitation for us to come to Jesus.

Somewhere inside our hearts and minds, we’ve heard about Jesus Christ through some form of media, preaching or the Holy Bible. Now the Lord is making the call personal, but will we answer the call? There are many who purposedly will not answer the call. So, they ignore it and continue to live their lives like the world. There are others who want to answer the call, but in the moment, they try to count the cost of what they’re going to lose, because they’re not ready and believe that they will be given another call. And yet, those of us who have answered the call are the chosen ones.

The chosen ones have the fear of the Lord, and they feel the Lord calling them out of the world. We are willing to leave our old lives, the people, places, and things. In exchange for eternal life and the spiritual blessings that await us in glory. The Lord pours His anointing upon us as we surrender to the process of being born again. The beauty of God’s love is spiritual, and He reveals it to us in many ways. The intimacy is being in His presence where there is divine glory and peace. There is no earthly drama, pain, hurt, or brokenness in this place because He separates those things to make His presence known. Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

We are being called out of the world to live a life for Christ as ambassadors for His ministry. The dreams, visions, and prophesies that we receive from the Holy Spirit are given to inspire us, so that we will witness about Jesus. As we study the written Word of the Lord the Holy Spirit will teach and instruct and give us wisdom and understanding. We are learning how to walk and live our lives according to the Word and Spirit. We cannot do this on our own through intellect and strength. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth. He will not do anything to contradict the Word of the Lord. John 15:26-27 “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. 27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

God is one. God is three persons in the Godhead, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are in unity, co-eternal, co-equal, one in nature, essence and attributes. They have individual work and are one God. 1 John 5:6-8 This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one. These scriptures will help us to submit to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to help us to do the good work that God predestined for us. We must invite the Holy Spirit into our study time as we read the scriptures.

We certainly do not know the way that we should go on our own. Jesus is the way, truth, and life. His Word is the lamp to our feet that we must follow to Christ. Being born again the things that we’re called to do is a spiritual work that requires spiritual wisdom, knowledge, discernment and understanding from the Holy Spirit. Mark 16:14-18 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

The Lord is doing His work in us even when we don’t see it or are given the acknowledgment of what we’re doing to show love to others. It’s okay because people cannot understand that God’s love is perfect. He loves us even when we fall short and disobey. Those of us who are walking with the Lord must put on the clothes of righteousness by choosing to love and forgive even when we know that we may be in the right. Our time in the Lord helps us to be transparent with Him. There is nothing that we can hide or get away with. The foundation of the Word of God is living proof to our witness for Christ.  Matthew 7:24-27 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”

As humans, we tend to wonder sometimes if we are making the right decision or are not always certain if we are on the right path. Matthew 22:14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.” However, this scripture should spur us to action to pray and seek God to know if we have been chosen. Because there are so many people in the world. This should speak to our hearts to wonder if there is more to life than the one, we’re living. Does God have a plan or something better than the life were living? As we search the scriptures, we will find that there is something better. 2 Timothy 4:8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. Hebrews 9:27-28 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

Our hearts are softening, and our answer is yes to the Lord for allowing us to have ears to hear. What does this truly mean to those who answer the call. There is something greater coming that is a part of being chosen by our Creator of the heavens and earth and universe. Revelation 22: 12-14 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” 14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. Colossians 3:23-24 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

A Path Full of Grace

The trials seem unbearable

My soul is crying for rest

The road seems endless

Dear Lord, what is Your will?

I’ve prayed and prayed endlessly

My thoughts are restless

I want to learn Your will

As I search the scriptures

I am applying Your Word to my life

I have wondered how my life will unfold

There is one word that seems to resurface

Thy grace is sufficient to what I need

I cannot fathom a life full of grace

I can only hope and pray that it covers me

For my soul is weak and frail

Speak to my spirit and renew my mind

I want to live and walk in the spirit

For there’s victory if I believe

The road that I’m traveling

Peace, mercy, and love are revealed

As I surrender my all to Your will
