Live for God

 

Matthew 7:14

Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

 

We live in a corrupt, wicked, and sinful world. Our souls were shaped in iniquity in our mother’s womb. There we were inside that secret place being formed and knitted together as God saw fit.  He is the Creator of the universe and holds everything together according to the power of His Word. Every star has a light, and the fish are many and yet our days are numbered. Psalm 139:15-16 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.

 

Many people are living but have no direction in life. So, they try all sorts of things to do. As children of God that is a destructive and dangerous way to live. The Word of the Lord is the light that we must walk in so that we will remain connected to Him. There are two paths that seems right, but there is only one path that we must be careful to choose for eternal life. Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

 

Our souls are precious and accounted for by the good Shepherd. We are the sheep who are being gathered in Christ. When we listen to godly counsel it will strengthen us to continue seeking God’s righteousness. Psalm 37:23-24 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand. We are blessed to have the written Word of the Lord. Every soul is responsible for the food that they eat and what they meditate on day and night. Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 

 

Many of us have made up our minds to walk with the Lord. Our path has gotten straight because the Holy Spirit is leading and guiding our footsteps in the Word. He is the Spirit of truth. John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.  We have become awaken to the love and the presence of God within us. 1 Corinthians 2:10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. As God, the Holy Spirit is dwelling within us after we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior. The work of the Holy Spirit in a believer’s life is to help us learn about Jesus, so that we will testify about Him. We will bear fruit, fulfill our purpose as ambassadors in Christ. He is our teacher and comforter at all times until the day of redemption.

So many people are hurting and living in pain. But I’m here to witness that I was a victim to masking years of hurt, abuse, and trauma. I cried out to the Lord for years while carrying the baggage, fear, and defeat, until I received my deliverance. He was bringing me forth to purify my heart to live for Him. Through my journey these scriptures were speaking to me. Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; God’s Word is breathing and living inside us, we must abide in the Word, study and meditate and apply it to our lives.

 

The years are passing by quickly and time is a temporary gift to use wisely. There are buried treasures inside each of our vessels. These hidden treasures are like a pearl of great price. As we seek the kingdom of God the purpose to our lives will be revealed to us. The blessings that come from above are given according to His mercies and grace. Matthew 13:45-46 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, 46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it. We are the fruit of the harvest and God’s workmanship which He created to do good works in Christ Jesus.

There is only a short time left before we are called back home. Many are restless and are still clueless in knowing who God is. If this is your situation, please humble yourself and pray to God to come into your heart and create in you a new spirit. Romans 13:11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. Ephesians 5:14 Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.” 1 Corinthians 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame. The Lord is mighty in all His ways and His love is infinite. He is seeking those who are crying out to Him with a contrite heart and humble spirit.

Our steps are ordered by the Lord and so are the number of hairs on our heads. The grace that God has given to mankind is a part of His divine plan to save us. These are the steps to Christ.  We must repent and accept Jesus as our Savior and be baptized. We must surrender our lives to Him. Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

There is mercy and forgiveness in Christ when we choose Him. The Lamb of God was the final sacrifice that was required to pay our sin debt. Christ blood freed us from receiving the punishment of eternal death because through His blood we have eternal life. Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace, Hebrews 9:14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Romans 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 3:24-25 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 

We must live as we are called. Wherever we are in our lives when we hear the call, please answer the Lord. Let us not be slow to answer, because Christ is coming soon. This message is to encourage somebody who is sitting on the fence. We must push past the fear and hold on and put our confidence and trust in the Lord. He is watching over us and hears our prayers and cries. We have the Holy Spirit to help, comfort and protect us until we are united in Christ in the New Jerusalem. We must hold onto the promises of God. Galatians 3:16-18 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ. 17 And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. 18 For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise. Verses 26-29 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
